Electro Diode

Diode is a semiconductor component consisting of a PN junction. Diode is a combination of two words electrodes, ie the anode and cathode. Other properties of the diode is delivering on the current forward voltage and inhibit the flow of current in the reverse voltage. In addition, there are many more functions other diode, as follows:
  • As a diode bridge rectifier to a component.
  • As the voltage stabilizer zener diode components.
  • As a safety or fuse.
  • As a trimmer or waster signal level is above or below a certain voltage to the circuit clipper.
  • As an addition to the DC component in the AC signal on the clamper circuit.
  • As the voltage multiplier.
  • As an indicator for a series of LEDs (Light Emiting Diode).
  • Can be used as a thermal sensor circuit power amplifier applications.
  • As a light sensor on the photo diode components.
  • As the VCO circuit (Voltage Controlled Oscillator) varactor diode components.
Overall diode can be modeled as a valve, wherein the valve opens when the water flowing from the back toward the front. While the valve will close when there is encouragement water flow from the front of the valve. Diode symbol depicted with arrows at one end there is a transverse line. The workings of the diode can be seen from the symbol. Because the base of the arrow is referred to as the anode (P) and at the end of the arrow can be referred to as the cathode (N).
there is generally, diodes made from silicon material that has been equipped with a trigger voltage. The trigger voltage is needed, so the electrons can directly fill the hole through the area depletin layer. In component diodes will not happen removal elekrton hole from P to N or vice versa. It is caused holes and electrons are attracted towards the opposite pole. Even greater layer depletion layer and blocking the flow.

Similarly, a brief description of the function of the diode, hopefully this article can be useful and beneficial for you all.
