Electro Types of Transistors

The function is as a transistor amplifier, as the circuit breaker and junction (switching), voltage stabilization, signal modulation.

Transistors have three types:
1. Union Junktion Transistor (UJT)
2. Field Effect Transistor (FET)
3. MOSFET

1. Uni Junction Transistor (UJT)

http://electrocampus.blogspot.com/Uni junction Transistor (UJT) is a semiconductor component comprising PN relationship. Type P is connected to the emitter, while the Type N formed Base B1 and B2. This component is known as the "two diode Base". The basic ingredients are made from silicon. Figure A shows the basic arrangement UJT. Approximately the middle of the silicon rod (material Type N) there exists a P meterial this will work as emitter E, so there exists a PN junction on the rod.

2. Field Effect Transistor (FET)

Field Effect Transistor (FET) has a function similar to the bipolar transistor. Nonetheless between FET and bipolar transistors are some fundamental differences. The main difference between the two types of transistors is that the bipolar transistor output current (IC) is controlled by the input current (IB). While the FET output current (ID) is controlled by the input voltage (VGS), since the input current is zero. So that the input resistance of the FET is very large, of the order of tens megohm.

In addition, the FET is more stable against temperature and smaller construction and making it easier than bipolar transistors, so very useful for the manufacture of integrated circuit chips. FET works on the flow of majority carrier alone, so the FET is likely to generate noise (sigh) is smaller than the bipolar transistor.

3. MOSFET

MOSFET (Metal Oxide Semiconductor FET) is a type FET having a drain, a source and one or two Gate. MOSFET has a very high input impedance. Considering the price is high enough, the MOSFET is only used on the parts that really need it. Use such as the RF amplifier in the receiver to obtain a high amplification with low noise. In packaging and assembly by using MOSFET need diperhatiakan that these components are not resistant to electrostatic, packaged using tinfoil, pematriannya using a special type of solder for soldering MOSFET. As with the FET, there are two kinds Channel MOSFET P and Canal N
